Find the answers to some common questions here.
When and where will the first weekends take place?
We’re aiming to launch our first weekends from February–March 2026, with gatherings running through summer and autumn 2026. Initial locations are planned for Devon, the Cotswolds, the Lake District and the Scottish Highlands.
You can follow updates on Instagram and help shape what we build by completing the short survey on our website.
Can I come on my own?
Yes. Well Met is being designed to work comfortably for people arriving on their own, as well as those coming with a friend or partner.
Who are the weekends for?
Well Met is open to all adults who want a weekend that feels real and sociable, without the faff. In practice, it tends to resonate most with people in their late 20s to 40s, or there abouts.
What will the group atmosphere be like?
Relaxed and welcoming. Groups are planned to be large enough to feel social, and small enough to feel comfortable, with no pressure to perform or overshare.
Do I have to do everything?
No. All activities will be optional. Guests will be free to join what appeals and sit out what doesn’t.
How active will the weekends be?
Active enough to feel like you’ve done something, but never intense. The focus is on variety and enjoyment, not performance.
I’m not sporty — will I fit in?
Yes. Activities are intended to be approachable and playful rather than athletic. Depending on the location, this might include paddle-boarding, light walks, games, yoga-pilates, sea swims or restorative sessions.
What if I’ve never tried some of the activities before?
That’s expected. Everything is planned to be beginner-friendly, with no prior experience required.
Is this a fitness or wellness retreat?
No. We think of wellbeing in practical terms — switching off from routine, doing enjoyable things with other people, and spending time in a good place. There are no gurus, ceremonies or jargon.
Is it a spa retreat?
Also no. Some locations will include a sauna, hot tub or similar space to warm up and relax. On certain weekends, there may be optional, bookable treatments such as massage.
Will I be cut off from civilisation?
Only if you choose to be! Weekends will be hosted in comfortable private houses with heating, hot water, proper beds, signal and Wi-Fi. This isn’t survival training.
Do I have to share a room?
Room options will vary by location.
- Guests booking together will be able to share
- Solo guests will be able to choose a shared twin or, where available, a private room for an additional charge
Private rooms will be limited, as shared rooms allow us to keep groups sociable and access higher-quality houses. Comfort and a good balance of bedrooms and bathrooms are a priority.
What if I’m not ‘outdoorsy’?
That’s completely fine. The weekends are designed to be welcoming: you bring yourself, and we take care of the rest.
